My 2002 Cameros’ security system will not disengage to allow it to start. How can I disable and start my car?

Car was running great when I stopped for coffee. Then, lights,icons as usual, turn the key, no juice to the starter. Starter's ok, so's the ignition. It has to be the security system. How can I save $250.00 to $600.00 cost to repair and just get rid of it altogether?
